The Business Law committee of the Law Society recently published guidance on e-signatures and electronic contracts. 

On 29 November 2019, the Supreme Court, in Bank of Ireland Mortgage Bank v O’Malley [2019] IESC, overturned a decision of the High Court granting summary judgment against the Defendant. It did so on the basis that the Plaintiff failed to adequately particularise its claim. 

The issue of holidays and how they accrue during the Covid-19 crisis is a question that is arising in workplaces as the lockdown continues. What entitlements does an employee have to leave during this time and can an employer require an employee to take leave?
