The ongoing impasse in the Brexit negotiations means that many of the legal implications of the UK’s departure from the EU are yet to be addressed or clarified. 

The Employment (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2018 has recently been hailed by the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection, Regina Doherty T.D. as “one of the most significant pieces of employment legislation in a generation”. It comes into effect in March 2019.
