Experience

  • Anne’s client base includes multinational employers, indigenous business, professional services firms and senior executives. She works across varied sectors.
  • Business experience – Anne brings a broad business perspective and international outlook to her client work. Before joining Hayes, she worked in the commercial litigation department of one of Australia's leading law firms, and in an associated law firm of one of the ‘Big Four’ accounting firms.
  • ‘On call’ employment law advisory service – providing an ‘on call’ advisory service to clients. She deals with “on the spot” enquiries, providing advice and strategic guidance on employment law matters.
  • Executives – advising senior executives on issues in the workplace including reviewing contracts, advising on difficulties at work, equality, whistleblowing and issues regarding termination of employment.
  • Corporate support – Anne has assisted in many corporate transactions involving PLCs, companies and PE funds.
  • Workplace change – Anne has experience workforce change programmes including restructuring and performance management.
  • Contracts/Staff handbooks and policies – tailoring best practice handbooks to the needs of each client’s business to ensure clear, user friendly and workable documents including grievance and disciplinary, bullying, data protection and maternity related policies.
  • Law firms - the team has expertise in assisting law firms based in foreign jurisdictions in relation to clients in the Irish market
  • Litigation – Anne has considerable experience in complex litigation including before the WRC, Labour Court and the High Court. Anne has been involved in cases before the Supreme court and CJEU
  • Mediation – Anne is a qualified mediator and assists and guides clients in the mediation process

  • Diploma in Employment law, University College Dublin 2005
  • Masters in Management, Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business 2011
  • Professional qualification as a solicitor, Law Society of Ireland, 2004
  • Professional qualification as a solicitor, Law Society of England and Wales, 2010
  • Certificate in Pensions Law, Law Society of Ireland
  • CEDR Accredited Mediator 2024
