A number of our solicitors and practice areas have again been recognised in the latest edition of leading international legal directory Chambers Europe.

The Civil Liability (Amendment) Act 2017 (the “Act”) was signed into law on 22 November 2017 and will commence upon Ministerial order.

The Civil Liability (Amendment) Act 2017 passed making Open Disclosure Voluntary rather than Mandatory.

On 2 October 2017 the Mediation Bill 2017 was signed into law by the President and the Act came into full effect on 1 January 2018. The arrival of the Mediation Act 2017 is much welcomed and should help promote the benefits of mediation and increase its use in civil litigation proceedings.

The Medical Practitioners (Amendment) Act 2017, which was signed into law on 6 November 2017, outlines new mandatory legal requirements regarding levels of professional medical indemnity for all medical practitioners currently registered or applying to register with the Medical Council.
