The Government has approved the publication of the Companies (Corporate Enforcement Authority) Bill 2021. 

The recent High Court judgment in Murphy v Palmer [2021] IEHC 154 reiterated the onus of proof which a defendant must meet to successfully bring an application to dismiss a plaintiff’s personal injuries claim for providing evidence which is false or misleading.

While Covid and housing may currently dominate the news headlines, one topic that is sure to come to the forefront again soon is the issue of the pension age gap.

In June 2021, the Victorian Supreme Court of Appeal upheld an important decision of the Supreme Court of Victoria concerning the law of defamation.

The Court of Appeal recently delivered a helpful decision in which it confirmed that the rules for appointment of an equitable receiver over EU agricultural payments are those set out by the Court of Appeal and confirmed by the Supreme Court in  ACC Loan Management Limited v Rickard [2017] IESC 29.
