Ross Magee - Associate

Ross is an associate in the Commercial & Business team at Hayes solicitors. He practices predominantly in insolvency, commercial litigation and dispute resolution. He acts for a variety of corporates, financial institutions, private equity funds and private individuals in contentious matters that include, insolvency; enforcement and recovery; landlord and tenant; intellectual property, defamation and other general litigation claims.

Ross commenced his training contract with the Hayes solicitors in 2018 and qualified as a solicitor in 2020.

Experience 

  • Commercial Litigation- Ross has assisted on a number of high value enforcement and recovery actions in the High Court and Commercial Court and has experience advising on enforcement and debt recovery actions in both the Circuit and District Court. This includes advising banks, financial institutions, receivers, and liquidators in relation to bringing various applications including injunctions, bankruptcy proceedings and actions for the enforcement of security.
  • Debt Proceedings- Ross advises clients in relation to debt recovery proceedings before the District Court, Circuit Court and High Court.
  • Intellectual property- Ross has experience in advising both individual and corporate clients on the prosecution of trade marks in both Ireland and Europe.
  • Commercial Landlord & Tenant- advises both landlords and tenants in commercial disputes.
  • General commercial litigation- advising private companies and individuals on bringing and defending various types of litigation and on other various company law issues including breach of contract, restriction and disqualification of directors and company law obligations.

  • Postgraduate Diploma (Law), Dublin Institute of Technology, 2015
  • Professional qualification as a solicitor, Law Society of Ireland, 2020
  • Certificate of Trade Mark Law, Law Society of Ireland, 2022
