We believe a positive working environment translates directly into superior levels of client service. Our people thrive on open communication, teamwork and a shared commitment to excellence. We prioritise work-life balance, professional development and diversity, ensuring that every member of our team feels valued and supported. Through active staff-led committees, ongoing training and a culture of inclusivity, we empower our employees to reach their full potential and contribute meaningfully to collective success for our firm, and outstanding results for our clients.

Our firm is more than a workplace, it’s a community where individuals are encouraged to flourish and thrive.

Hayes and its people are fully engaged members of many communities – professional, commercial and social. We aim to strengthen the connections between our staff, our clients and their communities by enabling and sustaining lasting and trusting relationships built on mutual respect and active partnership.

Our Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainable polices are integral to the way we work. We focus on:

  1. Seeking opportunities to make positive contributions – financially, socially and economically – to our workforce, clients and the community at large. We are an equal opportunities employer and promote diversity and cultural awareness.
  2. Encouraging and facilitating employees in giving their time and expertise to support local initiatives. A significant number of our solicitors and staff are actively involved in charities and organisations as board members and volunteers.
  3. Supporting, as a founding member, the Public Interest Law Alliance (PILA)  – a collaborative vision for putting the law to work for those most in need. PILA was formed by FLAC (Free Legal Advice Centres) to connect legal and civil society players looking to use the law to bring about positive social change and widen access to justice across society.
  4. Minimising potential negative impact on local communities and the environment through smart and sustainable ways of working and purchasing decisions. The firm’s environmental policy focuses on reducing our environmental footprint.
