Luke is a Partner in the Healthcare team at Hayes solicitors. He represents defendants in clinical negligence claims, including surgical claims and cases involving spinal injuries, brain damage, amputation, the delayed diagnosis of cancer and orthopaedic injuries.
Luke advises on and acts for clients in mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution at all stages of the litigation process.
Luke advises on birth injury cases and high value injury quantum investigations, cauda equina claims, delay in diagnosis of cancer claims and orthopaedic injury cases. He is an experienced adviser in complex secondary victim claims.
His work on mental health-related claims includes acting in suicide claims and false imprisonment claims, and claims brought by Litigants in Person.
Luke has significant experience in defending claims against GPs and dentists, acting for individuals and their medical defence organisations and private insurers.
Prior to joining Hayes, Luke worked for eight years in London at a highly-ranked Chambers and Legal 500 UK firm in London, acting in the defence of clinical negligence claims, including high value cases involving injuries of maximum severity with complex causation issues.
