She advises on sectoral regulation and professional disciplinary matters. Laura also advises on a wide range of commercial issues, including business contracts and the impact of consumer law.
Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution- advising on the prosecution and defence of high value commercial claims, including defamation and breach of contract matters. Experienced in a broad range of commercial disputes including injunctive relief applications, shareholder disputes and company law issues.
Regulatory matters – advising on sectoral regulation and professional disciplinary matters in both litigious non-litigious contexts, including defending fitness to practise complaints and civil and criminal matters in the professional sphere. Laura has assisted in defending professional negligence actions and internal appeals to committees of professional bodies.
Media and Defamation – defending numerous high-value defamation claims.
Data protection law – advising clients on their data protection obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation.
Debt Proceedings and Enforcement – advising clients on debt recovery proceedings and enforcement of security. Laura has experience enforcing security in Australia, having acted for several Australian banks. She also worked with the National Asset Management Agency, assisting with the completion of large loan portfolio sales.
Laura has delivered talks to clients and industry associations on commercial contracts and consumer law.
