Fiona is a partner in the Property team at Hayes solicitors.

Expertise

Fiona is a partner in the Property team at Hayes solicitors.  She advises on a wide range of residential and commercial transactions, and has particular expertise in commercial leasing.

Fiona acts for a number of high profile commercial clients in their landlord and tenant transactions.

She regularly advises lenders in relation to the property aspects of financing transactions. She also works closely with her corporate colleagues advising clients on the property aspects of commercial transactions including mergers and acquisitions.

She has extensive experience in rectifying title issues, including missing title documentation, planning issues, boundary issues and management company issues.

Experience

Landlord and tenant – advises high profile commercial clients, including drafting, agreements for lease, surrenders, notices and licences.

Corporate transactions – assists the Hayes Corporate team in relation to company acquisitions and sales by completing property due diligence, disclosures, warranties and provision of general property advice in corporate transactions.

Real estate finance – advises lenders taking security over property, including certifying title on their behalf.

Mortgagee in possession / Receivership sales – acting for banks and receivers in the sale of properties, including advising on and rectifying title issues.

Private client – assists private clients in the purchase and sale of investment properties.

Other

Fiona often delivers CPD lectures for both clients and colleagues on commercial property updates, in particular in the landlord and tenant sector.

Fiona is passionate about corporate sustainability and is chairwoman of the ESG Committee at Hayes.
