He is highly experienced in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, drafting and advising on terms and conditions of sale and the legal aspects of marketing and advertising campaigns. His corporate work includes advising clients on shareholder and partnership agreements, the sale and acquisition of businesses, and company law compliance matters.
Cian has significant experience in commercial litigation and dispute resolution, with a particular focus on shareholder disputes, contract disputes and enforcement.
Commercial Agreements – represents clients in the negotiation and drafting of commercial and technology agreements, including licence agreements, software agreements and master services agreements.
Advertising and Marketing – advises a large number of advertising and marketing agencies in relation to advertising campaigns, contract negotiations, greenwashing, and gaming and lotteries matters.
Commercial Court Litigation – advised in numerous high profile and complex disputes covering a broad range of business and regulatory issues.
Regulated professions –advises professionals and regulators in professional conduct matters, including acting for the Registrar of Architects in fitness to practise inquiries.
Charity law – lead advisor to Charities Institute Ireland and advises a number of charities in relation to governance, fundraising and charity law matters.
Enforcement disputes – represents financial institutions, hedge funds and receivers in connection with a variety of enforcement disputes, including applications for summary judgment, vacant possession and mareva injunctions.
Data protection law – advises companies and State bodies on their data protection obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and E-Privacy law.
Defamation – acted on a number of high profile defamation cases before the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.
