Ken is a partner and Head of the Corporate team at Hayes solicitors. He has built a practice in acquisitions, disposals, and capital markets transactions across various industry sectors; joint ventures and corporate re-organisations of publicly quoted and private companies; and advises on corporate governance and general corporate law. He has extensive expertise in the financial services, aviation, gaming, technology, media and sports sectors.

Experience

Ken’s recent significant work includes advising:

  • The Irish Department of Finance on the negotiation of escrow arrangements with Apple Inc. and on the capital restructuring of Allied Irish Banks plc
  • International Consolidated Airlines Group S.A. on its €1.4bn acquisition of Aer Lingus Group plc
  • Ontario Teachers Pension Plan on its successful €405m tender to run the Irish National Lottery
  • Fairfax Capital, WL Ross, Kennedy-Wilson and others on the €1.1bn purchase of a 34% stake in Bank of Ireland from the Irish Government
  • Horse Racing Ireland on a joint venture to redevelop and operate the Curragh Racecourse
  • GloHealth on the establishment, joint venture arrangements and sale to Irish Life
