Aaron is an associate solicitor in the Healthcare team at Hayes solicitors. He has over fifteen years experience working for leading Irish and international law firms in both plaintiff and defence litigation. Aaron now specialises in medical negligence defence claims taken against hospitals and individual medical practitioners to include GPs and consultants.

Experience

• Medical negligence defence – Aaron’s current caseload is predominantly in the area of medical defence litigation. The claims are particularly varied and include surgical errors, misdiagnosis claims, nervous shock claims. In dealing with these claims Aaron provides advice to various parties to include the Professional Indemnity Insurers, private and public hospitals, individual practitioners to include GPs and Consultants.
• Aaron has a particular interest in surgical related medical negligence claims and is currently dealing with a number of High Court cases in this area.
• Plaintiff & defence litigation - Aaron has previously worked for high profile plaintiff litigation firms in Ireland. The areas of work included medical negligence, public liability, workplace accidents, defamation, road traffic litigation. Aaron also worked for a leading international Law firm at their Dublin office. While employed there he specialised in defence litigation and this work included advising high profile commercial clients. Matters that Aaron advised on have been widely reported in the national press.

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) National University of Ireland, Galway
• Bachelor of Corporate Law (B. Corp Law) National University of Ireland, Galway
