Hayes solicitors LLP is delighted to announce the appointment of Triona Sugrue as Partner in its Employment Law team, further strengthening one of our fastest-growing practice areas.
Triona brings extensive experience advising employers and employees on the full range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters. She has significant experience representing parties in employment disputes before the Workplace Relations Commission, the Labour Court and the civil courts, as well as advising on complex workplace and employment law issues.
In addition to her client practice, Triona has a strong reputation in employment law education and professional development. She lectures in Employment Law at the Law Society of Ireland and regularly contributes to publications on employment law developments.
Her appointment comes during a period of continued growth for our Employment practice. Led by Anne Lyne, the team advises a broad portfolio of leading Irish and international organisations across sectors including retail, technology, aviation, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, professional services and the public sector.
The practice has expanded significantly in recent years, with new mandates from major Irish and multinational businesses. This has been accompanied by continued growth in complex employment litigation, workplace investigations, restructurings, collective redundancies, TUPE, whistleblowing, equality and discrimination matters, and strategic employment advisory work.
Triona’s arrival follows the promotion of Catherine Jane O’Rourke to Employment Law Partner earlier this year and represents a further investment by Hayes in the senior capability of its Employment practice. The team also includes Consultant, Breda O’Malley, together with a growing practice of experienced employment lawyers.
