Catherine Jane O’Rourke - senior associate

Catherine Jane advises both employers and employees, in relation to contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including contracts of employment, workplace policies, workplace investigations, statutory compliance, redundancies and dismissals.

 

Deirdre O’Sullivan - senior associate

Deirdre O’Sullivan acts on behalf of public hospitals and private medical and dental practitioners in the defence of clinical negligence claims. Deirdre has experience in the defence of a variety of clinical negligence claims including surgical errors and missed or delayed diagnosis claims. She assists as part of a team on high value catastrophic injury claims, which require detailed investigations into liability and quantum. She also has experience managing defective product liability claims.

 

Una Lyons - senior associate

Una is a skilled litigator and has over 10 years’ experience working in the area of insurance defence litigation, providing strategic legal advice to state bodies, large insurers and private clients. Since joining Hayes Una has practiced in the defence of medical negligence claims on behalf of public and private healthcare providers. She has a particular interest in mass action litigation and has developed considerable experience on mass action vaccine claims and mass action mesh claims.  

 

Anita Puri - senior associate

Anita’s practice covers a range of disciplines, with a particular focus on defending professionals involved in regulatory and disciplinary proceedings.  Prior to joining Hayes solicitors, Anita worked in London, where she specialised in healthcare law. She has significant experience in defending healthcare professionals in the full spectrum of healthcare litigation including regulatory proceedings, hospital disciplinary investigations, inquests, criminal litigation and clinical negligence claims.

 

Jennifer Havard - associate

Jenny primarily advises private practitioners, indemnity organisations and hospitals on the defence of clinical negligence claims. She has a keen interest in a wide range of medical scenarios including surgical, obstetric and delayed diagnosis cases, and assists with high value catastrophic and fatal injuries cases requiring detailed investigation and analysis from commencement to resolution. She also specialises in dental cases involving allegations around consent, treatment plans, implants and periodontal disease.
