Hayes solicitors recently had the pleasure of visiting ARC Cancer Support Centres at its Eccles Street service to announce the partnership with ARC for the Torch of Hope event, which will be Hayes solicitors’ second year sponsoring the event. The Torch of Hope walk will take place on 13 October 2024.

ARC was founded in 1994 for the provision of psychological, emotional and educational services for people who receive cancer diagnoses and for their family members. Men, women and children of all ages are invited to avail of the services which comprise counselling, support groups, acupuncture & manual lymph drainage, mindfulness, yoga, reflexology and wellbeing classes. Services are free of charge and are available both remotely or in-person at one of three Dublin centres (Eccles Street, South Circular Road and Herbert Avenue).

Torch of Hope is one of ARC’s annual fundraising event which takes place in October each year. The essence of the Torch of Hope is that it gives families, friends and communities an opportunity to support cancer survivors and honour loved ones who they have lost. It is a truly emotive and inspiring event with great comradery which brings together hundreds of people affected by cancer.

The walk starts in two locations, on both sides of the Liffey, with two chosen Torch Bearers leading the participants to the Sean O’Casey bridge, where the two groups unite. This is ARC’s largest fundraising event each year which raises vital funds in order for ARC to continue providing their incredible services to those affected by cancer.

Announcing the partnership, Joe O’Malley, Managing Partner at Hayes solicitors stated “We are delighted to be partnering with ARC again for this very important event. The work and support provided by ARC to cancer patients and their families is inspiring.  We are excited and proud to support this cause in any way we can and all the team at Hayes are greatly looking forward to the Torch of Hope walking event in October”.

Hayes solicitors are honoured to be partnering with ARC again this year for this very special event and encourage as many people are possible to sign up for ARC’s Torch of Hope which will take place on 13 October 2024.
