Hayes is committed to retaining and appointing the brightest and the best in the legal profession. Of the eight promotions, four are female, clearly demonstrating the firm’s commitment to increasing representation and balance across the partnership.
Fiona Shipsey has been promoted to Partner in the Property team. She acts for clients in the purchase, sale, mortgaging and refinancing of both residential and commercial properties. She has particular expertise in advising receivers and banks in the sale of distressed properties. She often advises private clients on the purchase and sale of properties and also assists clients in the drafting of Wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney.
In addition to the promotion of Fiona Shipsey to Partner, Hayes is delighted to announce the promotion of a number of lawyers, including one to Senior Associate and six to Associate.
Pamela Fitzpatrick was promoted to senior associate solicitor in the Commercial and Business team. She specialises in commercial litigation and dispute resolution acting for financial institutions, private equity funds, private companies and individuals in a variety of matters including enforcement and recovery actions, landlord and tenant disputes and general litigation cases.
Danny Heffernan was promoted to associate solicitor in the Banking and Financial Services team acting for a variety of domestic and international SME’s and corporates, lending institutions, state bodies and Fintechs in a range of secured banking transactions including Acquisition Finance and has a special focus on Commercial Real Estate Finance - both investment and construction.
Denise O’Shaughnessy was promoted to associate solicitor in the Commercial and Business team advising clients on commercial contracts and advising companies and state bodies in relation to their data protection obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation.
Patrick Scott was promoted to associate solicitor in the Corporate team advising on mergers and acquisitions, investments, corporate restructurings, shareholder agreements and other general commercial arrangements.
Jamie Doddy was promoted to associate solicitor in the Employment Law team advising both employers and employees, in relation to contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including contracts of employment, workplace policies, workplace investigations, statutory compliance, redundancies and dismissals.
Kate Sherry was promoted to associate solicitor in the Healthcare team. Kate works in healthcare litigation, defending clinical negligence claims against public hospitals and private clinicians.
Deirdre O’Sullivan was promoted to associate solicitor in the Healthcare team. She acts on behalf of public hospitals and private medical and dental practitioners in the defence of clinical negligence claims.
