Martina is a consultant in the Hayes healthcare team. She has worked for over 20 years in both the public and private sectors with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders. Martina works as part of a team which specialises in professional discipline matters, in particular the representation of doctors before the Medical Council.

Martina is a consultant in the Hayes healthcare team. She has worked for over 20 years in both the public and private sectors with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders. Martina works as part of a team which specialises in professional discipline matters, in particular the representation of doctors before the Medical Council.

Previously an In-House counsel and leader of the enforcement team at CORU, her experience includes regulatory and professional disciplinary law, public and administrative law, and dispute resolution. Martina has been involved in legislative reviews with the Department of Health, ensuring improved standards for end users and practitioners.

Notable achievements include managing the first successful prosecution on protection of title for CORU in the High Court and she has also contributed subject matter expertise to a nationally strategic project on eConveyancing Infrastructure.

 

Experience

  • With over 20 years’ experience, Martina has advised on a wide array of legal matters. These include health regulation, commercial and residential property, tenders, public procurement, trust and succession law, personal injuries, family law, and alternative dispute resolution procedures.
  • Martina has extensive experience in regulatory and healthcare law, representing and acting for government bodies and private clients in the High Court.
  • Martina has represented Irelands multi profession health regulator in a legislative review with the Government’s Department of Health, resulting in improved standards for end users and practitioners.
  • She has a strong track record in leading and delivering successful outcomes in complex litigation cases across both the public and private sectors.
