Alexandra Moore - Associate

Alexandra Moore is an associate solicitor in the Employment team at Hayes solicitors. She specialises in all areas of employment law, both contentious and non-contentious in nature, for a variety of employee and employer clients.

Alexandra advises corporate, public and private sector clients on all legal issues arising out of the employment relationship. She advises clients on day-to-day employment issues such as recruitment, employment contracts, immigration, redundancy and termination. She specifically advises employers on the enforceability of post-termination restrictions, the protection of confidential information and claims for injunctive relief.

Experience 

  • Redundancy and unfair dismissal – Alexandra advises corporate clients in relation to issues regarding redundancy including advising employers on the collective redundancy process. She regularly assists employers in managing redundancies for senior employees and advising senior employees on their rights and entitlements in the context of redundancy; including challenging redundancies as an unfair dismissal.  She assists clients on claims of unfair dismissal for both employee and employer 
  • Agency workers – She previously advised a large recruitment company on day-to-day issues regarding agency workers including successfully defending a claim for gender discrimination before the Circuit Court 
  • Bullying and harassment – Alexandra regularly supports clients on managing issues of bullying and harassment in the workplace and work-related stress. She assists clients on personal injury cases before the Circuit and High Court 
  • Investigations and disciplinary issues – She advises employers on performance, conduct and absenteeism issues; prepares grievance and disciplinary procedures; and advises on conducting investigations and disciplinary hearings 
  • Transaction support on employment issues – Alexandra advises corporate clients, including receivers, on the application of and compliance with the Transfer of Undertaking Regulations (TUPE) in relation to the sale or part sale of assets. She also advises to clients on the circumstances where TUPE will and will not apply. She regularly provides legal support for corporate clients on all employment issues that arise in the context of the sale, acquisition or investment of a company including drafting warranties and indemnities and preparing due diligence reports 
  • Immigration – Alexandra has previously guided a large multinational IT/telecommunications company on applying for work permit applications for non-EEA nationals and the issues which arose as well as all immigration matters 
  • International experience – Before joining Hayes, Alexandra worked in another commercial firm. During that time she also served on secondment with an international law firm advising its multinational and UK clients on Irish employment law issues.
